Silent Hearts

The beautiful Jamaican countryside with its lush greens and birds chirping loudly is the backdrop for 15 year old DANIELLA as she makes her way home from school in the early afternoon, accompanied by her friend who lives nearby. Singing and dancing to pop star Rhianna’s latest hit, the girls are a picture of carefree teenaged life when they part ways at the friend’s gate. Daniella flags down one of the few route taxis with the PPV plates that ply the route. As she enters she sees the gun before she sees the thug wielding it and immediately tries to escape but is overpowered. And the world becomes silent.
